Advantages of Cryptocurrency
Decentralization & Financial Freedom
Cryptocurrencies operate on decentralized networks, removing the need for intermediaries like banks. This enables peer-to-peer transactions, financial inclusion for the unbanked, and resistance to censorship or government control.
Transparency & Security
Blockchain technology provides an immutable, transparent ledger of all transactions. Cryptographic security makes it extremely difficult to counterfeit or double-spend, offering strong protection against fraud.
Global Accessibility
Anyone with an internet connection can send and receive cryptocurrency worldwide, 24/7, without geographic restrictions or banking hours. This is particularly valuable for international remittances.
Investment Potential
Cryptocurrencies have demonstrated significant long-term appreciation potential. Early investors in Bitcoin and Ethereum saw extraordinary returns, and the asset class offers portfolio diversification benefits.
Risks of Cryptocurrency
High Volatility
Cryptocurrency prices can fluctuate dramatically – often by 20–50% or more within short periods. This high volatility makes them inherently risky investments, and significant capital losses are possible.
Regulatory Uncertainty
The regulatory landscape for cryptocurrencies is still evolving globally. Sudden regulatory changes can significantly impact prices and accessibility, creating legal and compliance risks for investors and businesses.
Security Risks
Hacks, scams, and phishing attacks are prevalent in the crypto space. The irreversible nature of blockchain transactions means stolen funds are rarely recovered. Users must secure their private keys and wallets diligently.
Environmental Impact
Proof-of-Work cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin require substantial computational energy, raising environmental concerns. While the industry is transitioning toward more energy-efficient consensus mechanisms, the carbon footprint remains a significant criticism.
History of Cryptocurrency
The history of cryptocurrency begins with Bitcoin, introduced in 2009 by the pseudonymous Satoshi Nakamoto. The Bitcoin whitepaper, published in October 2008, proposed a peer-to-peer electronic cash system enabling online payments directly between parties without going through a financial institution.
Bitcoin's first recorded commercial transaction occurred in May 2010 when Laszlo Hanyecz paid 10,000 BTC for two pizzas – a transaction now celebrated annually as Bitcoin Pizza Day.
The Rise of Altcoins
Following Bitcoin's success, thousands of alternative cryptocurrencies (altcoins) emerged. Ethereum, launched in 2015 by Vitalik Buterin, introduced smart contracts – self-executing agreements coded into the blockchain – enabling decentralized applications (dApps) and decentralized finance (DeFi).
The ICO Boom and Market Crash
The years 2017–2018 saw an explosion of Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs), where new projects raised funds by selling tokens. Bitcoin reached nearly $20,000 in December 2017 before crashing dramatically in 2018, triggering a prolonged crypto winter.
Institutional Adoption
The 2020–2021 bull run saw unprecedented institutional interest, with companies like MicroStrategy and Tesla adding Bitcoin to their balance sheets. Bitcoin hit new all-time highs above $60,000. The launch of Bitcoin ETFs and growing regulatory clarity further legitimized the asset class.
DeFi, NFTs & Web3
Decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and the broader Web3 movement transformed the cryptocurrency landscape. Platforms like Uniswap, Aave, and OpenSea enabled entirely new financial and digital ownership models.
Today, the cryptocurrency market encompasses thousands of digital assets with a combined market capitalization in the trillions of dollars, representing a fundamental shift in how the world thinks about money, finance, and digital ownership.

Bitgert FAQ
Bitgert (BRISE) is a cryptocurrency engineering initiative launched in July 2021, focused on delivering blockchain solutions and centralized exchange services. Originally developed on the BNB Chain, Bitgert utilized BNB, its native token, to provide rewards. One of the most notable innovations from Bitgert emerged in 2022 with the introduction of the BRC20 blockchain. This blockchain is notable for its near-zero gas fees and rapid cross-chain transaction capabilities, with gas fees set at $0.0000000000001 per transaction and a throughput capacity of up to 100,000 transactions per second (TPS). The suite of Bitgert products encompasses the Bitgert Blockchain, Bitgert Exchange, Paybrise, a Real Estate Marketplace, a Decentralized Marketplace, BRISE Staking, and BRISE Swap. Bitgert serves as an alternative to the well-known DEX platform, PancakeSwap. BRISE acts as Bitgert's native token, providing investors with opportunities to benefit from staking and earning rewards in BUSD exclusively within the BSC network. The smart contract on the BSC Chain incorporates a buyback mechanism. Specifically, Bitgert allocates 5% of each transaction fee for buyback, 3% for marketing, and 4% for staking rewards. According to the Bitgert team, the buyback mechanism aims to support the BRISE token's price, enhancing its status as a deflationary asset. Conversely, the smart contract on the ETH Network features a zero tax fee structure. BRISE asserts its real-world application by evolving into a global payment system and is utilized as a peer-to-peer (P2P) service within the BRISE dApp Wallet. This setup enables direct interaction between buyers and sellers, without third-party involvement, allowing for swift, secure, and fee-free transactions. The Bitgert project commenced its journey in the summer of 2021, with its whitepaper indicating that the platform was launched in July. Throughout this period, the development team has operated anonymously. However, there has been an announcement regarding their intention to disclose their identities at an appropriate time. Although no specific deadlines have been set, it is believed that revealing the team's identities could enhance the project's reputation and the value of BRISE. This action is anticipated to build trust within the crypto community and generate more interest among investors. Additionally, according to the team, in the short term and prior to the exchange launch, Bitgert will be registered as a legal entity, likely in the Cayman Islands.
Bitgert (BRISE) utilizes a DeFi protocol and was launched on the BNB Chain. Its rapidly expanding ecosystem encompasses areas such as DeFi, NFT, Web 3.0, and the Metaverse. The BRISE token operates as a medium in a peer-to-peer (P2P) payment service using local currency through the BRISE Wallet dApp, enabling fast, secure transactions without transaction fees. This setup allows a seller and a buyer to interact directly without intermediaries. The token incorporates a buyback mechanism. It functions as follows: a 5% buyback tax is applied to each transaction and stored within a smart contract. Upon sale, a portion of the collected tax is used to automatically purchase tokens from the liquidity pool, which are subsequently burned. Benefits include price appreciation (as purchasing tokens from the liquidity pool results in the addition of new BNB tokens and a reduction in the number of BRISE tokens), the generation of free BNB tokens, and enhanced investor confidence and reliability. Additionally, Bitgert offers its investors a 4% commission on every transaction, distributed proportionally to their stake in the form of BUSD tokens. The total network tax commission stands at 12%. At platform launch, the full supply of 1,000,000,000,000,000 BRISE tokens was minted. Distribution is allocated as follows: 50% for Initial Burn, 38% for Liquidity, 7% for Future Development and Marketing, and 5% for the Development Team.
BRISE Chain utilizes a proof-of-staked-authority consensus mechanism to ensure its security. Audit Solutions with Leaderboard Support is designed to safeguard the Bitgert network. The platform offers complimentary auditing services to secure both smart contracts and blockchains. The most recent Bitgert Audit was published in August 2021.
As of April 2022, users can purchase BRISE tokens on various platforms including Gate.io, PancakeSwap (V2), MEXC, and Hotbit, among other centralized and decentralized exchanges.
