In addition to financial investments, AWS has announced a collaboration with the Singapore government as well as with public sector organizations and private companies. The goal of this partnership is to accelerate the implementation of artificial intelligence and generative AI in the city-state.

These measures are part of Amazon's broader strategy to establish a robust AWS infrastructure across Southeast Asia. Previously, the company had already announced significant investments in Thailand and Malaysia, amounting to five and six billion US dollars, respectively.

On Tuesday morning, Amazon's stock was slightly down in pre-market NASDAQ trading, with a decrease of 0.33 percent at 188.08 US dollars.
