Premier League champions Manchester City will begin their campaign at the Club World Cup 2025 with a match against Wydad AC at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on June 18, as announced by the world football association FIFA on Saturday. The Club World Cup, featuring the best teams in the world, will be held from June 14 to July 13 in 12 stadiums across the USA and serves as a dress rehearsal for the 2026 World Cup, jointly hosted by the USA, Mexico, and Canada. City, the winner of the last Club World Cup 2023 in the old format, will face Al Ain four days after their opening match, before meeting Serie A team Juventus in their final group match of Group G on June 26. The first game of the expanded 32-team tournament will feature Lionel Messi and Inter Miami from Major League Soccer against Al Ahly in Group A. This match will take place at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida, and is the only match scheduled for June 14. "This schedule is far more than just a list of exciting encounters of the best clubs in the world – it shows that club football can and will become global," explained FIFA President Gianni Infantino. Among the other opening matches, Ligue 1 club Paris St. Germain will face LaLiga club Atletico Madrid in an exciting Group B encounter on June 15, while German heavyweights Bayern Munich will meet Auckland City on the same day in Group C. European champions Real Madrid will face Al-Hilal on June 18 in Group H. Modern Financial Markets Data
