Nike presents itself with new personnel decisions, once again demonstrating its pioneering role in the sporting goods industry. Ann Miller, previously esteemed as Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer, will now take on the position of EVP Global Sports Marketing. With her 18 years of experience at Nike, she succeeds John Slusher, who is retiring after 26 years.
Elliott Hill, who was recently appointed as the new CEO of Nike, describes Miller as a leader who combines legal expertise with a sports mentality. Hill expressed great confidence in Miller's ability to further develop the brand and make a lasting impact on the world of sports.
In addition to Miller, Rob Leinwand is also advancing within the company, taking on the role of EVP, Chief Legal Officer as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel. Hill sees Leinwand's experience and legal acumen as essential support for the future business of the brand.
Another strategic move is that Venkatesh Alagirisamy, Chief Supply Chain Officer, will now also report directly to Hill to further increase efficiency and speed in the supply chain.
Nike is currently in a transformation phase, with the transition of the CEO from John Donahoe to Elliott Hill playing a central role. Despite a mixed first-quarter report, annual forecasts have been withdrawn, and the company is now focusing on quarterly forecasts until 2025.
