Apple has unveiled its latest MacBook Pro line, equipped with the brand-new M4 chips. These are designed to entice buyers with faster computing performance and enhanced AI capabilities. The new devices, powered by M4, M4 Pro, and M4 Max processors, also feature anti-glare screens, faster ports, improved cameras for video conferencing, and extended battery life in the largest models. This launch is the latest step in a series of upgrades for the Mac products. Earlier this week, Apple released a new iMac and a revamped Mac mini, both also equipped with the M4 processor. Additionally, the company introduced its new AI platform, Apple Intelligence. Pre-orders for the new MacBook Pro models began on Wednesday, with availability in stores planned from November 8. The standard 14-inch model remains priced at $1,599 and offers, according to Apple, up to 1.8 times the speed improvement compared to the M1 version from 2020. The M4 Pro variant, three times faster than the M1 Pro series from 2021, starts at $1,999, while the M4 Max is available starting at $3,199. The base model is primarily aimed at students and comes with a central processing unit with 10 cores, while the GPU also has 10 cores. The M4 Pro offers up to 14 CPU and 20 GPU cores, while the M4 Max can be configured with up to 16 CPU and 40 GPU cores. A new nano-texture option for the display can be added for an additional $150. The built-in camera offers 12 megapixels, just like the new iMacs, and the 16-inch version boasts a battery life of now 24 hours.
