The digital transformation in Costa Rica is advancing at a remarkable pace: Nokia and Radiografica Costarricense, RACSA, have launched the country's first standalone 5G network. This project brings cutting-edge 5G connectivity, high speeds, and low latency to key urban areas such as San Jose, Cartago, and Limon. This innovation benefits not only urban centers but also rural communities, providing them with a crucial advantage in digital participation. The first phase of implementation includes the establishment of 30 sites in the country's major cities. Over the year, this number is expected to grow to 170, with a long-term expansion plan targeting a total of 500 sites. This ambitious endeavor represents a significant turning point in Costa Rica's digital transformation, elevating the country to a new level of connectivity and technological development.
