Honeywell and Qualcomm: AI Collaboration Sets New Standards in the Energy Sector

On Wednesday, Honeywell shares are showing an upward trend as the company has expanded its partnership with Qualcomm to develop new AI-powered solutions for the energy sector. This collaboration aligns with Honeywell's focus on three key megatrends, including automation. As a result, Honeywell is expanding its portfolio to meet the evolving demands of the industry. Through the partnership, Honeywell plans to integrate Qualcomm's connectivity and AI capabilities into its applications, including the Honeywell Field Process Knowledge System (PKS). This integration aims to enhance connectivity in remote areas of production facilities, thereby enabling optimized data collection and analysis. The combination of Qualcomm's energy-efficient AI processors and Honeywell's advanced sensor technologies is expected to lead to the development of industrial sensors that can monitor process, asset, and environmental parameters. Pramesh Maheshwari, President of Honeywell Process Solutions, highlights that the fusion of Qualcomm's leading low-threshold AI processors with Honeywell's AI-powered technology can enable smarter workflows for field employees and improve the overall efficiency of the process industry. "With the introduction of AI-driven solutions such as the Honeywell Field PKS, the Multi-Modal Intelligent Agent, and sensor technologies, we are expanding the capabilities of the process industry through mobile field technicians and autonomous operations," Maheshwari further explained.
