In an escalating conflict between Israel and the Lebanese Hezbollah militia, rockets have been fired at Haifa, Israel's third-largest city. According to Israeli police, several buildings were damaged, and at least ten people were injured in the northern region of the country. The central focus of the attack was military targets; Hezbollah targeted a base south of Haifa with a salvo of "Fadi 1" rockets. In response, Israeli fighter jets carried out targeted air strikes against various Hezbollah positions in Beirut. These attacks were particularly directed at the militia's intelligence headquarters there, which were targets of leading command centers and strategic infrastructures. In addition to the capital, other Hezbollah sites in southern Lebanon and the Beqaa Valley were also bombed. These airstrikes hit, among other things, weapon depots and command structures. Notable were secondary explosions, which indicated the storage of weapons. Israel accuses Hezbollah of hiding its military facilities in populated areas, thereby endangering the civilian population.
