FC Everton is on the verge of signing winger Jesper Lindstrom from Napoli. Discussions between the two clubs have progressed, with the 24-year-old Dane initially expected to move on a loan basis, followed by an option to purchase. Lindstrom is scheduled to undergo a medical examination this week before the transfer to Goodison Park is completed. The 'Toffees' remain active in the market, aiming to strengthen their options on the wings. Previously, they missed out on signing Yankuba Minteh and Jaden Philogene. Minteh transferred to Brighton & Hove Albion for a fee of around £30 million, while Philogene returned to Aston Villa. In addition to Lindstrom, Everton has already secured Jack Harrison from Leeds United on a season-long loan and acquired Iliman Ndiaye from Marseille. However, the departures of Lewis Dobbin and the end of Arnaut Danjuma's loan period have impacted the squad. Coach Sean Dyche now has only Harrison, Ndiaye, and Dwight McNeil as genuine wingers available. Lindstrom transferred from Eintracht Frankfurt to Napoli last summer, making 31 appearances in all competitions, although he often did not start and provided only one assist. His tenure at Eintracht Frankfurt was more successful, where he scored 14 goals and provided one assist in 80 games over two years. The Danish international made his national team debut in October 2020 and has since earned 16 caps for his country. He was also part of the squad at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. In addition to signing Harrison and Ndiaye, Everton has also welcomed Tim Iroegbunam from Aston Villa into their ranks.
