The aircraft company Boeing has announced temporary furloughs for numerous U.S. executives and employees. This measure follows the strike of approximately 30,000 skilled workers that began last Friday, halting the production of the 737 MAX and other aircraft models. "We are initiating temporary furloughs in the coming days, which will affect a significant number of executives, managers, and employees in the U.S.," said Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg. The plan outlines that selected employees will be furloughed for one week every four weeks as long as the strike continues. Ortberg added that he and other executives of the company will also accept a corresponding pay cut during the strike period. These measures aim to mitigate the impact of the production stoppage.
