Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen announced that the company will introduce a new pricing model for its latest AI development in the video sector. This decision distinguishes the new video generation tools from the previously available AI tools. In an interview at Adobe's annual conference in Miami, Narayen explained that video production is more cost-intensive and therefore requires different pricing models. As the supply of generated videos grows rapidly, Adobe is examining how to price these services appropriately. Earlier in the week, Adobe unveiled new AI tools that can create and edit videos. Over the past twelve months, the company focused on integrating generative artificial intelligence into its software solutions for creative professionals, including well-known products like Photoshop and Illustrator. Currently, Adobe does not charge additional fees for the use of AI features beyond the regular subscription costs. Users receive a certain number of credits for content generation, with limits being generously handled in most plans. Narayen stated that they want users to experience the "magic" with photos and illustrations without worrying about credits. However, the situation could be different with videos. Adobe's shares rose by 2.9% to $509.84 in New York. Overall, the stock has seen a 17% decrease this year due to concerns about competitive pressure from startups and established tech giants in the artificial intelligence sector.
