The online marketplace operator ImmoScout24, listed on the MDAX, was able to benefit again from the persistently strong demand for real estate agent memberships and additional products in the fourth quarter. The company met both its own expectations and those of the market. For 2024, Scout24 is aiming for further growth and operational economies of scale but has not yet released a specific forecast.

In the final quarter, Scout24 achieved a revenue of 133 million euros, an increase of 15 percent over the previous year. This was due in part to the increase in customers as well as growth in the area of additional products. The earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) from ordinary business activities also increased by 19 percent to 79 million euros. This corresponds to a margin of 59.9 percent, 2.2 percentage points more than in the previous year. The after-tax result grew by 19 percent to 52 million euros.

For the full year 2020, Scout24 achieved sales of 509 million euros, as previously forecasted by the group. The EBITDA from normal business activities increased by 21 percent to 304 million euros, at the upper end of the company's own forecast range. Scout24 cited higher cost efficiency as the reason for this, which led to a margin of 59.7 percent. Overall, the figures were within the range of analysts' expectations; only on the bottom line did Scout24 perform significantly better with an increase of 45 percent to 179 million euros. This was mainly due to lower depreciation and a better financial result.

"With our strong product pipeline, we look forward to the year 2024 with great confidence," said CEO Tobias Hartmann. Scout24 plans to announce a specific forecast for this period at today's Capital Markets Day. The Scout24 share temporarily lost 1.23 percent to 66.12 euros on XETRA.
