Lululelmon Implements New Design Structure and Announces Departure of Chief Product Officer

Apparel company Lululemon: Sun Choe steps down to pursue new opportunities – Departure later this month.

The apparel manufacturer Lululemon Athletica announced on Tuesday the introduction of a new integrated design structure and the departure of its Chief Product Officer, Sun Choe.

Choe has resigned to pursue another professional opportunity and will leave the company later this month, Lululemon announced. The company does not plan to refill the position of Chief Product Officer.

Jonathan Cheung, Global Creative Director, to Lead the Product Design and Innovation Division and Continue to be Responsible for Design, Innovation, and Product Development. According to the company, Cheung will report directly to Chief Executive Officer Calvin McDonald.

Additionally, Lululemon will create a new team of executives from merchandising and brand functions to scale global and regional market launch strategies. Nikki Neuburger, who currently leads the branding department, will be promoted to Chief Brand and Product Activation Officer and will be responsible for merchandising, footwear, and product operations, in addition to her existing duties. The Chief Merchandising Officer, Elizabeth Binder, will report to Neuburger, Lululemon announced.

The new measures are intended to contribute to promoting Lululemon's global growth and further strengthening the company's market position.
