Frankfurt Airport recorded only a slight increase in passenger numbers in July. According to the operating company Fraport, passenger traffic increased by 0.5 percent to around 6.0 million passengers. Despite this moderate growth, the airport's passenger numbers remain around 12.7 percent below the level of 2019, the year before the pandemic.

Fraport positively highlighted the aircraft occupancy rate, which reached a new record of 86.1 percent in July. This value surpassed the previous best from August 2015 by 0.2 percentage points.

In the freight sector, there was also a positive development: Cargo volume increased by 5.0 percent compared to the same month last year, reaching 172,741 tons.

International investments of Fraport mostly achieved growth. The 14 Greek regional airports recorded a 3.8 percent increase in passenger traffic to 6.4 million travelers. At Turkey's Antalya Airport, the number of passengers rose by 2.1 percent to around 5.6 million.

The analysis firm Jefferies responded to the available figures by lowering the target price for Fraport from 51 to 50 euros and maintaining the rating as "Hold." Analyst Graham Hunt pointed in his study to potential challenges for the company's free cash flow (FCF), which could lead to a balance between cash outflows and inflows only by the year 2026. He expressed skepticism about whether the results could develop significant momentum in the near future.

Despite this cautious assessment, the Fraport stock was temporarily up by 0.36 percent at 44.40 euros in XETRA trading.
