The American aircraft manufacturer Boeing has maintained the delivery pace of its planes almost unchanged in July. As the company announced on Tuesday in Arlington, Virginia, 43 commercial aircraft were delivered to customers, following 44 jets delivered in June.
Despite the stable delivery numbers, Boeing was also able to secure orders for 72 new commercial aircraft in July, underscoring customer confidence in the company. The total number of aircraft delivered this year thus increases to 218. This puts Boeing still significantly behind its European competitor Airbus, which has already delivered 400 aircraft in the same period.
The news had a positive effect on Boeing's stock, which at times increased by 1.2 percent to 166.09 US dollars in trading on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).
