The rapeseed prices in North America and Europe have continued their decline amidst concerns that China's anti-dumping investigation will curb imports. On Tuesday, Beijing announced it would initiate an investigation into imports from Canada. This comes against the backdrop of intensified trade conflicts following the imposition of tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles, steel, and aluminum by Justin Trudeau's government. Canola, the Canadian variety of rapeseed, accounted for more than 90% of Chinese imports last year. These developments are now casting a shadow over the agricultural sector and causing turbulence in the commodity markets.
