The Stellantis unit Pro One has launched its new global commercial vehicle center at the Mirafiori Automotive Park 2030 in Turin, Italy. With this move, the company aims to consolidate various cross-brand functions to improve efficiency and decision-making within the business unit. The new center will be staffed by more than 80 experts overseeing a variety of activities, including engineering, manufacturing, marketing, product development, procurement, and recreational vehicles, as well as other customer-focused activities. It is intended to serve as a "command center" for all Stellantis Pro One employees engaged in the global commercial vehicle sector. The opening of this center is a key component of Stellantis Pro One’s global strategy. CEO Carlos Tavares emphasized: "The Stellantis Pro One global commercial vehicle center is built on the strength of our dedicated teams across different regions and aims to realize our ambitions in a highly profitable segment that accounts for a third of our revenues. The decision to establish this center in Mirafiori is another sign of our deep commitment to Italy." In parallel, Stellantis Pro One is advancing its product offensive. This includes the "Stellantis CustomFit" program, an expansion of production capacities for hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, and a comprehensive renewal of its compact, medium, and large van fleet, totaling 12 different vehicles. Furthermore, the company announced plans in July 2024 to reassess its manufacturing activities in the United Kingdom, following remarks by CEO Carlos Tavares that the government's zero-emission vehicle mandate impacts the company's performance.
