Solana's DeFi Ecosystem Shines with New Glory: TVL Surpasses 6-Billion-Dollar Mark

In the dynamic world of decentralized finance, Solana has reached a milestone: The Total Value Locked (TVL) in Solana’s DeFi ecosystem has exceeded the impressive mark of $6 billion—a threshold last achieved almost three years ago. This development signals noticeable growth in activity within the network’s DeFi sector and highlights the increasing participation in lending protocols, decentralized exchanges (DEXs), and liquid staking initiatives. With more than 40 million SOL tokens having flowed into various DeFi protocols, around 8.66% of the currently circulating Solana supply is deployed in this area. Particularly noteworthy: This figure excludes native SOL staking, underscoring the enhanced utilization of financial services in the Solana ecosystem. Playing a key role in this resurgence is Raydium, the once dominant DEX during the 2021 DeFi boom, which now stands as the second-largest protocol on the Solana platform. In addition to these successes, Solana’s significance in the DEX space has considerably increased, with a 31% share of global DEX volume—the highest value in two months. Another growth element is the market for Liquidity Staking Tokens (LSTs). Leading CEXs such as Bybit and Binance have also integrated their LSTs into the Solana network, strengthening the positive momentum. At the forefront of the liquid staking sector on Solana is Jito, the only protocol recording over $2 billion in TVL, newly positioned as a restaking leader. Solayer, as the first Layer-1 restaking protocol on Solana, contributes over $200 million in TVL, further diversifying Solana’s DeFi offerings, making the network more future-proof and opening up scalable growth opportunities.
