Recently, eastern China, including the metropolis of Shanghai, was struck by one of the strongest typhoons in recent decades. According to the latest forecasts, Typhoon Pulasan is expected to make landfall in coastal regions by Thursday evening. The storm threatens to disrupt transportation and significantly hinder production in a central economic hub. The affected areas include northern Zhejiang, Shanghai, the southeastern part of Anhui, and the southern Jiangsu province, according to the China Meteorological Administration. In light of the approaching storm, the Zhejiang province has already activated its emergency plan. Pulasan is the 14th typhoon to hit the affected regions this year.
