Meta presents new AI tool for video generation

With an impressive surge of innovation, Meta reinforces its position in the technology competition. The tech giant introduced a new AI-powered tool capable of generating realistic videos with matching music solely from text inputs. The tool, named "Movie Gen," promises a revolution in video production: it can not only create new videos but also edit existing ones and transform static images into moving scenes. Particularly noteworthy is Movie Gen's ability to produce video clips up to 16 seconds long with a frame rate of 16 frames per second. This technology directly competes with Microsoft-backed OpenAI, which introduced its own video generator tool "Sora" back in February this year. Although Movie Gen is not yet available to the public, Meta is working intensively on a potential launch. This strategic announcement seems to have garnered significant interest: Meta's stock reached a new all-time high on Friday, climbing 2% to $594.25, marking an impressive value increase of over two-thirds since the beginning of the year.
