In South Korea, numerous administrative teams in office buildings and residential complexes are currently considering new safety measures to mitigate the risk of fires. These considerations are prompted by an explosion of an electric vehicle that led to the evacuation of over 200 families. According to the fire department, last Thursday, an unplugged Mercedes-Benz electric vehicle caught fire in an underground parking garage of an apartment complex in Incheon, west of Seoul. Due to the fire, more than 700 residents had to be evacuated because of water and power outages. The fire damaged approximately 140 vehicles, as reported by the Incheon Metropolitan City government. Additionally, 23 people were hospitalized. The recent events have heightened awareness of fire safety in residential areas and office complexes. Many management teams are now planning to implement preventive measures to avert similar incidents in the future.
