Energy of the Future: SFC Energy Predicts Dynamic Growth for 2023

Eulerpool News·

The specialized fuel cell provider SFC Energy has announced ambitious targets for the current year and is targeting a significant increase in sales. With a forecasted revenue growth of 20 to 30 percent, the SDax-listed company expects an annual turnover between 141.7 and 153.5 million euros. This optimistic prediction is based on recent business figures and the ongoing interest in innovative fuel cell technologies. SFC Energy is also confident about profitability and forecasts an adjusted Ebit for the year 2023 in the range of 9.8 to 14.7 million euros, without taking special factors into account. This positive expectation is particularly driven by the Clean Energy segment, which is making a name for itself with advanced solutions around fuel cells. This confidence is preceded by a record year 2023, in which SFC Energy was already able to exceed its own projections. With a revenue of 118 million euros, the company surpassed the upper end of its targets, which even included one million euros less. Compared to the previous year 2022, when revenues were just over 85 million euros, this represents a considerable increase. The development of the adjusted Ebit is particularly noteworthy. With 9.7 million euros in 2023, the result could be tripled compared to the previous year and significantly exceeded the preliminary expectations and the previously communicated target mark of maximum 8.6 million euros. This underlines the growing importance of fuel cell technology and the role of SFC Energy as a pioneer in this industry. Fuel cells and the technology behind them are attracting more and more attention as key components for a more sustainable energy supply and as drivers of the energy transition. SFC Energy's positive developments and ambitious forecasts are evidence of an industry that is increasingly moving from a niche to the focus of investors and consumers.
