Yesterday, the young Brazilian player Endrick couldn’t hold back his tears as he was introduced to the fans of Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabéu for the first time. Around 68,000 supporters gathered for this special occasion, which marked the official transfer of the talent from the Brazilian club Palmeiras. The transfer of Endrick was already agreed upon in December 2022, but it was only a few weeks ago, shortly after his 18th birthday, that the young player could finally sign the contract and successfully complete the medical examination last Saturday. This transfer is the result of a long-cherished dream for the striker, who has been working towards this moment since his childhood. "Ever since I was little, I’ve loved Real Madrid," stated a visibly moved Endrick before the enthusiastic fans. He explained especially emotionally that Cristiano Ronaldo played a central role in his fascination for Real Madrid. "I wanted to learn more about Real Madrid, and then I also discovered idols like (Emilio) Butragueño," he added. Endrick emphasized how touched he was by the welcome from the fans and expressed his desire to contribute to the team’s success with goals and assists in the future. In Spain, Endrick will join his Brazilian national teammates Vinicius, Rodrygo, and Eder Militao, who already supported him during the Copa America. "They have told me a lot about Real Madrid and helped me focus on this moment," said Endrick. The Real Madrid squad, including Endrick, will embark on a preparatory journey to the USA, where they will face AC Milan in Chicago on July 31, Barcelona in New Jersey on August 3, and Chelsea in Charlotte on August 6. Notably, players like Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe, who were involved in the Euros or Copa America until the semifinals or finals, will not be part of the journey. Both will return only on August 7, just one week before the European Super Cup against Atalanta in Warsaw. Endrick and the rest of the team have ambitious goals for the upcoming season and aim to repeat the La Liga and Champions League titles from last year. In his words: "Everything is possible. I want to help Real Madrid win. The more titles we win, the better for the club.
