Brighton strengthens its midfield by signing Malick Yalcouye from the Swedish top-tier club IFK Göteborg. The 18-year-old player moves to the south coast of England for a transfer fee of six million pounds and has signed a long-term contract. Yalcouye has showcased his talent in 11 appearances in the Allsvenskan, Sweden's highest division. He had joined IFK Göteborg from Asec Mimosas in Ivory Coast in February, where he had originally signed a five-year contract. "We are very pleased to welcome Malick to our team," said Brighton's head coach Fabian Hurzeler. "He is a talented midfielder with a lot of potential to develop into a top-class footballer. He is excited about this new chapter in his career, and we look forward to helping him continue to improve." With the signing of Yalcouye, Brighton continues its series of new acquisitions, following head coach Hurzeler's recent appointment at the Amex Stadium.
