Supply chain disruptions and new requirements from China continue to affect the production of the aircraft manufacturer Boeing. In May, the company delivered 24 commercial aircraft to customers, a figure consistent with the previous month. The majority of deliveries consisted of 737 Max medium-haul jets. However, the competition is not idle: during the same period, Airbus handed over more than twice as many aircraft to its customers. Regarding orders, Boeing secured four new commercial aircraft orders in May but also faced a cancellation. In contrast, Airbus recorded 27 orders but had to report 12 cancellations as well. Such a discrepancy in the figures highlights the challenges currently facing Boeing. The supply chain disruptions and new requirements from China significantly contribute to the delays and complicate the competition with Airbus. Nevertheless, Boeing remains confident in its ability to overcome this hurdle and get back on the path to success.
