The Australian bowling elite put the Indian batting team to a tough test on the third day of the third Test. After an impressive first half, in which Australia recorded 445 runs, India faced a significant deficit. The Australian bowlers, led by Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood, made their mark on the game right from the start. Starc, the left-hander with an imposing presence, caused a stir with two quick wickets. Supported by Mitchell Marsh, he took Yashasvi Jaiswal out of the game on the second ball, following which Marsh made a skillful catch in the air. Shortly thereafter, Shubman Gill, with only one run to his name, fell victim to Starc's powerful exchanges. Hazlewood, no less effective, sent Indian captain Virat Kohli back to the field after just 16 balls and a meager three runs. KL Rahul, who opened the innings, with a deficit of 13 runs could only offer little resistance to the Australians' aggressive play and suffered a painful wrist injury caused by Hazlewood’s first delivery of the day. Even before the fifth batsman, Rishabh Pant, could enter the field, a brief rain shower intensified the game and brought about an early lunch break. At lunchtime, the Indians were under significant pressure at 22-3, facing a deficit of 423 runs against the Australians. At the beginning of the day, Australia had resumed their first round with a score of 405 for seven. Despite the quick loss of the last three wickets, Alex Carey and his valuable 70 runs gave the Australians further momentum. The Indian bowling line, led by Jasprit Bumrah with an impressive 6-76, and the solid bowling of Mohammed Siraj, did everything to balance the outcome. Modern Financial Markets Data
