The Chinese electronics giant Lenovo has announced a closer collaboration with the US AI giant NVIDIA at its annual Lenovo Tech World.
The platform enables companies to develop agent-based and physical AI solutions that efficiently convert data into actionable business outcomes. Another highlight of the event was the introduction of the sixth generation of Lenovo's Neptune liquid cooling systems. This technology makes it possible to reduce the energy consumption of data centers by up to 40 percent, which is particularly important for the operation of generative AI systems. "With more than a decade of experience in liquid cooling, the new Neptune generation offers efficient supercomputing that optimally supports the NVIDIA Blackwell platform," explained Yang.
In addition to the Hybrid AI Advantage and advanced cooling systems, the two companies introduced a new high-performance AI server that combines Lenovo's Neptune technology with NVIDIA's Blackwell processors. This server is considered a major advancement in terms of sustainability and energy efficiency as it is fully liquid-cooled and requires no additional fans or special air conditioning.
The market reaction to the announcements was positive: Lenovo shares rose by 1.1 percent to 11.04 HKD in Hong Kong, while NVIDIA shares gained 3.24 percent to 135.87 USD on NASDAQ. These price gains reflect investors' confidence in the strategic partnership and the innovative solutions presented.
