Amazon Must Establish a Public Advertising Archive According to the Digital Services Act (DSA) of the European Union, Ruled the European Court of Justice (ECJ). This decision marks a setback for the internet retailer, which had sued against the obligation to disclose detailed information about online advertising on its platform. The DSA aims to increase transparency and accountability of large online platforms by requiring disclosure of the content and sponsors of advertising, as well as its reach and selection criteria for targeted advertising.

Amazon argued that the requirements of the DSA restrict fundamental rights and could cause significant harm to the company. The court dismissed these concerns, emphasizing that the need to create an online environment that protects fundamental rights outweighs Amazon's commercial interests.

At the same time, Amazon is ramping up its investments in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and has poured an additional $2.75 billion into the AI startup Anthropic, bringing the total investment to $4 billion. Anthropic is developing advanced AI software, including the chatbot Claude. The collaboration also includes a partnership with Amazon's cloud service AWS, giving Anthropic access to necessary computing power and allowing Amazon to benefit from innovations in the field of AI.
