The drugstore chain Rossmann has issued a recall for the toy "Babydream Knitted Teething Ring." The reason for the recall is the potential danger that the wooden ring of the toy could break and release small parts that pose a choking hazard for babies.

The affected toy is available in two variants: a wooden ring with either a crocheted elephant or fox head. According to a company statement, it cannot be ruled out that the ring could break into several parts, creating small pieces that could be swallowed by toddlers.

Rossmann urges all buyers to stop using the affected products and return them to the stores. The purchase price will of course be refunded.

The company expressed regret over the incident and apologized for the inconveniences caused.
