Characteristics of your blog: You emphasize your scientific approach and your rejection of unreliable financial practices such as day trading based on technical analysis.

Engagement and Community: The Two Spoke About How Their Honesty and Openness Helped Them Build a Loyal Following and How They Manage to Inspire Young People about Finance.

Vision and Future: Finally, Simon and Felix discuss their goals for the future and their role in the changing landscape of financial education.

How did you discover your passion for finance and what inspired you to pursue this path as a blogger/influencer?

Simon and Felix: The passion for finance has always been there. We have already completed our first internships at the Deutsche Bundesbank and the Stuttgart Stock Exchange.

Trigger for your own Instagram account were the results of Simon's master's thesis, in which he examined the financial education of students - with partly shocking results.

What obstacles did you have to overcome to get to where you are today?

Simon and Felix: The biggest challenge was certainly the foundation of our own startup fiducation, with which we aim to bring financial education to all schools. We were rejected by all funding programs because the school market is not attractive enough. Nevertheless, we tried it anyway and had the same experience. Now our customers are private schools and companies, especially apprentices. So, we don't reach all young people, but at least some, and it allows us to make money.

Were there specific books, people, or events that were particularly influential in your introduction to the world of finance?

Simon and Felix: In our case, it was our former class teacher who had worked on Wall Street himself.

How would you describe your style or approach when it comes to explaining and presenting financial topics?

Simon and Felix: Here we focus on a mix. Short, entertaining reels to catch attention, and deeper posts. In our learning software, we offer detailed instructional videos, as well as a practical approach through a quiz mode and the option to make your own investment decisions. From our perspective, financial education should above all be fun.

What do you believe sets apart your blog/channel from others in the industry?

Simon and Felix: Of course, we don't just see this as a hobby, but clearly pursue the purpose of making financial education accessible to all. We strongly rely on scientific facts and therefore reject topics such as day trading based on chart analysis, at least as long as the empirical evidence is against it.

You have built an impressive following. What do you think attracts people the most to your content?

Simon and Felix: We believe in our honesty. We communicate openly and transparently, gladly admit mistakes, and also engage in discussions. Just like in science, no one can know everything.

Which moment or event in your influencer/blogger career made you most proud?

Simon and Felix: So far, the fact that we have been able to beat the market (defined as the benchmarks MSCI World and DAX) with our public value portfolio.

Was there a specific advice or tip that you shared and received a lot of positive feedback or gratitude from your followers?

Simon and Felix: Actually, we have received the most positive feedback from the schools where we tested our financial education software for free at the beginning. As it is a classroom tool, a unique group dynamic develops every time. The students have said, 'This is my new favorite game' or 'Today we can have longer lessons.' That fills us with pride. Because then we have succeeded in inspiring young people about the topic of finances.

How do you use Euler pool in your research or analysis?

Simon and Felix: We naturally also like to rely on data from Eulerpool for stock analysis for our value portfolio.

What are your goals for the next few years, both personally and as a financial influencer?

Simon and Felix: Our goal is to make financial education accessible to as many people as possible and ideally be able to make a full-time living from it, because that fulfills us 100%.

What is your view on the future of financial education and what role do you play in it?

Simon and Felix: We are very optimistic about the future. There are several changes, especially for schools. There are more free products (unfortunately, the only solution for schools so far). The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Education are working on a financial education strategy, and the current President of the Conference of Ministers of Education is advocating for more financial education. So, it's clear that things are moving in the right direction. We see our role as enabling companies to offer financial education to their employees with our learning software. This makes a lot of sense, especially for apprentices, as it can help them avoid costly mistakes and lay the foundation for prosperity and well-being with a small amount of money. As a company, one should not underestimate the impact of financial stress on employees' work morale and health.

Is there a special project or initiative that you are currently working on and would like to share with us?

Simon and Felix: We mainly work on our learning software fiducation. An innovative classroom tool that fits perfectly into the training routine of trainees and dual students. We are naturally excited about any company that is enthusiastic about promoting financial literacy and chooses to use our software.
