The talented center of the New Orleans Pelicans, Zion Williamson, is in the conditioning process of his rehab following an injury to his left thigh muscle. As the team announced on Tuesday, he is expected to be able to return to training next week. Williamson is currently being evaluated weekly, as he has not been able to play since November 6. The two-time All-Star has played only six games this season, averaging 22.7 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 5.3 assists. The Pelicans selected Williamson as the first pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. His career with the Pelicans has been marked by various injuries, beginning with a meniscus tear in the preseason of his rookie year. In his five seasons, Williamson has played 190 games so far, missing the entire 2021-22 season. To date, he has averaged 24.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 4.2 assists in his career.
