Led by Kyle Connor, who shone with three points in the first period and surpassed the 500 career points mark, the Jets won 6-2 on the road against the Detroit Red Wings. This triumph follows their first season loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs and ends a proud series of 16 wins in the regular season.
Neal Pionk proved to be accurate with two goals, while Gabriel Vilardi contributed with one goal and one assist. Both Nino Niederreiter and Colin Miller scored as well. The outstanding Connor scored one goal, provided two assists, and goaltender Connor Hellebuyck played a strong game with 19 saves.
For Detroit, Dylan Larkin and Alex DeBrincat each scored a power-play goal. Lucas Raymond and Moritz Seider each made two assists, while Alex Lyon saved 23 shots. The Red Wings are currently experiencing a dry spell with three consecutive losses (0-2-1).
