The designated U.S. President Donald Trump has unusually sharply urged the BRICS countries not to participate in the creation of a new currency or support another currency that could replace the U.S. dollar. Otherwise, he threatened with massive trade tariffs of 100 percent. Through his platform Truth Social, Trump announced that he expected a clear assurance from the affected countries not to participate in projects that could jeopardize the 'strong U.S. dollar.' If this assurance is not given, the corresponding countries could expect to lose access to the lucrative U.S. market. Trump further emphasized that there is no chance for the BRICS countries to replace the U.S. dollar in international trade. Those countries that nevertheless attempt should prepare to relinquish economic relations with the USA. Modern Financial Markets Data
