Starting next week, Starbucks will introduce a small revolution in its stores: customers will no longer have to pay an extra fee for adding plant-based milk varieties. The company announced this on Wednesday. Especially pleasing for the coffee chain's fans: the change will take effect on November 7, the same day the festive holiday menu launches. With this strategy, Starbucks aims to make it easier for customers to personalize their favorite drinks. Whether it's soy milk, oat milk, almond milk, or coconut milk – all these can now be enjoyed without an extra charge. Brian Niccol, Chairman and CEO of Starbucks, emphasizes that the adaptability of drinks is a core element of the Starbucks experience. Eliminating the extra fee reflects the diverse desires of the clientele. According to Starbucks, replacing cow's milk with plant-based alternatives is the second most common modification in orders, right behind the extra shot of espresso option. About half of the customers who previously paid for modifications will benefit from a price reduction of over 10%, according to the company. Brian Niccol added that this measure is just one of many to make visits to Starbucks even more appealing. It was also revealed that the controversial Oleato drinks with olive oil will be removed from the menu in November.
