Salesforce recently secured over 1,000 paid contracts for "Agentforce," a platform that creates virtual agents using artificial intelligence, as announced by CEO Marc Benioff. At a company event in San Francisco, Salesforce unveiled new enhancements that allow businesses to develop bots for areas such as recruiting and customer service, both on the platform itself and in the messaging application Slack.
Benioff emphasized that Salesforce also utilizes these technologies within its own operations. Thanks to AI-based solutions, the company now requires only half of the previous personnel resources to respond to simple customer inquiries. Nevertheless, Salesforce plans to expand its sales staff by at least 10%.
Since the introduction of ChatGPT in 2022, many companies have piloted AI without significant savings or revenue increases so far. Benioff sees the potential in "digital workers" to complement human labor and invigorate the economy. Salesforce is preparing to launch a "Robot Force Partner Program" that aims to connect real machines with virtual ones.
As an example, Benioff referred to hotel chains that could use digital assistants for back and front office tasks while robots clean the guests' rooms. As co-founder of Salesforce and owner of Time Magazine, Benioff also expressed hope that the future government under Donald Trump would discuss the issue of digital work with business leaders. When asked if he would donate to Trump's inauguration fund, Benioff wittily remarked that the Time cover could already be considered a donation. Modern Financial Markets Data
