ONDA gains momentum through strategic partnership with Seed Group for Middle East expansion

The South Korean company ONDA, specializing in AI and data-driven hospitality technologies, has partnered with the UAE-based Seed Group to establish a joint venture. This initiative marks ONDA's entry into the Middle East and aims to leverage Seed Group's extensive regional networks to expedite market entry. By the first half of 2025, ONDA plans to complete localization tests of its proprietary SaaS technology to strengthen regional presence through a diversified marketing strategy. Kevin Oh, CEO of ONDA, emphasized efforts to enhance local networks and create additional business opportunities through strategic partnerships. Oh views this step as the beginning of a new chapter and a key growth driver in the promising hospitality industry of the MENA region. As early as February this year, the SEED Group initiated a partnership with the Seoul-based hospitality technology startup ONDA to strengthen the travel industry in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). ONDA's innovative strategies have led to strong partnerships with leading technology companies, earning the company accolades such as being named the first "Airbnb and Trip.com Excellent Partner" in Korea and "Booking.com Advanced Connectivity Partner" in 2024. Additionally, ONDA became the first Korean company to be ranked 34th on the Global PMS Vendor List by the US travel research company Skift. This underscores the ambition to become a dominant player in the international hotel technology sector. To strengthen its presence in the Middle East, ONDA has participated in major industry exhibitions such as Expand North Star and GITEX 2024. These platforms provided ONDA the opportunity to present its advanced solutions to major hotel chains and introduce digital transformation strategies tailored to the local market. In February 2024, ONDA signed a tourism-oriented letter of intent with Taiwan-based Dunqian International, an intelligent hotel group. This agreement facilitates the distribution of Dunqian's hotel assets through South Korean online sales channels and aims to provide South Korean tourists with competitive hospitality experiences in Taiwan to boost tourism demand.
