The NFL world is closely watching the developments surrounding wide receiver Davante Adams. According to various sources, the New York Jets and the Dallas Cowboys have expressed significant interest in trading for the star player from the Las Vegas Raiders. Both teams have already contacted the Raiders and inquired about the terms for a potential trade.
Nevertheless, Las Vegas does not seem to be in a hurry to agree to a possible transaction. The Raiders have indicated that they are willing to accept an offer once it meets their demands. At a minimum, they require a second-round pick along with additional compensation. Simultaneously, it has been reported that Adams wishes to leave the team as soon as possible.
Should a trade indeed occur, the Las Vegas team would face a $15.7 million dead cap hit for the year 2025. The acquiring team would need to assume the remaining $16.9 million.
The six-time Pro Bowler Adams has been at the center of trade speculation since last year. Since his acquisition, the Raiders have had a mixed record of 16 wins and 22 losses. Frustrations have repeatedly come to light publicly. Recently, a screenshot on social media caused a stir, showing Coach Antonio Pierce "liking" an Instagram post that suggested a possible separation from Adams.
Adams did not participate in the Raiders' latest victory (2-2) against the Cleveland Browns due to a thigh injury. However, he watched the game from the sidelines in civilian attire. Modern Financial Markets Data
