The New York Jets are in search of a new General Manager following the dismissal of Joe Douglas on November 19. According to a report from ESPN, the Jets are preparing to conduct their first interviews this week. Potential candidates include former Tennessee Titans General Manager Jon Robinson and former NFL player and current ESPN analyst Louis Riddick, who has experience in NFL executive roles.
The decision to seek new leadership follows the dismissal of head coach Robert Saleh in October, as the Jets struggled through five games with two wins and three losses. Under interim coach Jeff Ulbrich, the team's record remains bleak with one win and seven losses.
While Robinson is expected to interview this week, Riddick could follow shortly thereafter. Both candidates are currently not employed in the NFL, meaning they are available for discussions without delay.
Jon Robinson was instrumental in shaping the Titans team, acquiring prominent players like running back Derrick Henry and wide receiver A.J. Brown during his tenure. The Tennessee Titans reached the playoffs in four of his seven seasons before Robinson was unexpectedly dismissed in December 2022. Louis Riddick brings seven years of experience as an NFL player and valuable insights from his executive roles with the Washington and Philadelphia teams.
An interesting matchup awaits fans this coming Sunday when the Jets face the Jaguars in Jacksonville, both teams currently standing at 3-10. Modern Financial Markets Data
