A remarkable success for the streaming giant Netflix: The NFL games on Christmas Day set a new record for the service. According to preliminary Nielsen surveys, on average, over 24 million people in the USA watched the two thrilling games. The triumph of the Kansas City Chiefs over the Pittsburgh Steelers attracted 24.1 million viewers. Even 24.3 million football fans were captivated when the Baltimore Ravens defeated the Houston Texans – with a special highlight: a halftime show by Beyoncé.
Netflix proved to be the main source for the broadcast, while smaller portions of the audience tuned in via local TV stations in the home markets of the involved teams or via the service NFL+. Modern Financial Markets Data
