Takeaways NEW
- Mango plans a significant expansion in the USA with over 20 new stores by 2025.
- Investment of over $70 million and creation of over 1,200 jobs planned.
The fashion market in the USA is gaining new competition. Mango, the international fashion brand, has recently achieved another milestone by opening its 40th company-owned store in El Paso, Texas. This expansion underscores the company's commitment to the important US market. With two more store openings planned by the end of 2024, the total number will rise to 42.
According to Daniel López, Director of Expansion and Franchising at Mango, this growth represents a significant success for the company. He highlights the hard work of the employees and the positive response from customers. The US market is currently experiencing double-digit growth, which reinforces Mango's strategic focus on this area.
In the coming years, Mango is committed to further expanding its presence: by 2025, over 20 additional stores are expected to be established, which would increase the total number to about 65. At the same time, the number of employees in the USA is expected to rise to over 1,200. New openings are planned in key regions such as the Sun Belt and Northeast, with locations in Washington, Illinois, and Nevada.
The company will also enter new markets, including Connecticut, Arizona, Ohio, Oregon, and Louisiana, and expand its presence in California and Texas with a new location in the Houston Galleria. The planned stores are to reflect the new "New Med" concept, inspired by Mediterranean design principles.
Between 2024 and 2025, Mango plans to invest over $70 million in new stores in the USA, promoting job creation. The opening of a new logistics center outside Los Angeles, which will serve as a hub for the western part of the country, further underscores the commitment. This complements the existing facility in Pennsylvania, which has supported online operations since 2022 and plays a crucial role with its 30,000 square meters of space.
