Juventus Turin was unable to capitalize on numerous chances against Fiorentina and had to settle for a late draw on Sunday in Serie A, as coach Thiago Motta explained after the 2-2 at the home Allianz Stadium. Fiorentina forward Riccardo Sottil scored the equalizer in the 87th minute with a spectacular volley, leaving the hosts once again without a win after squandering many opportunities in the second half. Coach Motta emphasized to Sky Sport the importance of maintaining the attack and not losing defensively. In his opinion, the team must work on extending the lead and making the game more efficient. Juventus remains in sixth place with 32 points following this draw, level on points with fifth-placed Fiorentina, who still have a game in hand. The home team started promisingly: Khephren Thuram scored after just 20 minutes and added another goal following Moise Kean's equalizer for Fiorentina at halftime. Although Juventus dominated most of the second half, they failed to convert this superiority into another goal before Fiorentina's late goal dashed their three-point hopes. Motta did not attribute the lack of finishing efficiency to bad luck. Instead, he sees potential for improvement in the team's precision. Thuram scored his first two Serie A goals in this game, after transferring from OGC Nice to Juventus in July. "We are looking for players who want to finish the game well," Motta explained. "Players like Thuram can inspire the others. Modern Financial Markets Data
