The New Orleans Saints are facing a concerning injury to their quarterback Derek Carr, who was injured in the final quarter of the game against the New York Giants last Sunday. Carr sustained a hand injury that may be broken, and there is also suspicion of a concussion.
Due to the severity of the injury, Carr is reportedly already wearing a cast and undergoing further medical tests. Interim coach Darren Rizzi mentioned the possibility of Carr being placed in the concussion protocol. The injury occurred when Carr made a risky attempt near the sideline to achieve a first down. He fell awkwardly, landed on his left hand, and subsequently hit his head on the turf.
Jake Haener took over the play-calling for the Saints after Carr's exit. Before he had to leave due to injury, Carr had completed 20 of 31 passes for 219 yards with one touchdown and one interception. In the current season, Carr has totaled 2,145 yards, 15 touchdowns, and five interceptions, despite having already missed three games due to an abdominal muscle injury. Modern Financial Markets Data
