Hochtief Records Increase in Profits and Optimistic Outlook

Hochtief, one of the leading construction conglomerates, is pleased to announce a gratifying increase in its profit for the last fiscal year. With an adjusted net result of over 553 million euros, the company exceeded analysts' expectations and grew by 6.1 percent compared to the previous year. This strong financial performance also has positive implications for the shareholders: a dividend increase to 4.40 euros per share is forthcoming, which will benefit the owners, including the majority shareholder, the Spanish construction conglomerate ACS. In the course of releasing the current financial figures, CEO Juan Santamaría Cases stated that the firm is in a position of strength to seize opportunities in the market. The group not only shows a robust growth momentum in its traditional business areas but is also establishing itself as a driving force in future-oriented high-tech infrastructure sectors. Projects related to the energy transition, new mobility concepts, and ongoing digitalization are contributing to the positive trend of the conglomerate. For the current year, Hochtief forecasts a further favorable business development. The well-filled order book suggests an adjusted net result between 560 and 610 million euros. The result for 2023, including special effects, was also a cause for satisfaction, with a profit increase of 8.5 percent to 522.7 million euros. The group also saw growth in revenue – a rise of 5.9 percent to nearly 27.8 billion euros, with the currency-adjusted increase even at ten percent.
