Musk also claimed he was 'misled' into authorizing gender-affirming procedures for her and emphasized she was 'born gay and somewhat autistic' but 'not a girl.' Wilson criticized these remarks as deeply hurtful and stressed that her father knew exactly what he was doing when he agreed to her treatment when she was 16. She believes Musk assumed she would leave the accusations uncommented. However, Wilson made it clear that she would not silently accept this injustice. NBC reported that Wilson has largely disappeared from the public eye since 2022, after filing for a name change and publicly condemning her father. In a court filing, she stated she no longer wished to be associated with her biological father in any way. She emphasized that she has not had contact with Musk for about four years.
