Germany is looking for billions: Budget gap requires creative solutions

This was announced by Finance Minister Christian Lindner, while he awaits the results of the review of some proposed measures. Lindner explained that there is a challenge in the order of 8 to 9 billion euros. He also emphasized that the Federal Chancellery has already made public suggestions on how this gap could be closed. The financing of the budget continues to be a major focus for the government coalition. Among the strategies under discussion, both savings and new sources of revenue could play a role.
