The British airline British Airways, a subsidiary of International Airlines Group (IAG), is under pressure to adjust its flight schedules due to engine problems. Various media outlets reported the cancellation of summer flights between London Heathrow Airport and Abu Dhabi – news that the company did not confirm on Thursday. Previously, the airline was forced to reduce long-haul flights. The reason for this is delays in the delivery of engines and spare parts from the British manufacturer Rolls-Royce. The current adjustments result from difficulties with around 1,000 engines for the British Airways Boeing 787 fleet. In light of the uncertainties, the airline emphasizes that the current actions aim to guarantee its customers a reliable travel experience. "We have taken these measures because we do not expect the issue to be resolved soon. Our customers deserve the assurance they need for their travel plans," said a British Airways spokesperson.
