Bluesky celebrates new milestone with customized video feed

A new, custom video feed, specifically developed for vertical videos, is now enhancing the Bluesky app, enabling an improved user experience. In the Explore view of the mobile app, users can now swipe through trending videos—a feature where each movement leads to the next video. Naturally, flexibility remains: the feed can be pinned directly to the home screen or added to a selection list. The developers of Bluesky welcome this innovation with enthusiasm and encourage users to restart the app if the video feed does not appear immediately. Simultaneously, the company showed solidarity with developers exploring TikTok alternatives based on the AT protocol. Applications like Tik.Blue, Skylight.Social, and Bluescreen.Blue are currently in early development stages and are primarily being tested in closed phases. Amidst the turbulence surrounding TikTok and other ByteDance apps like CapCut and Lemon8, Bluesky is making impressive progress and recently surpassed the 28 million user mark. Meanwhile, the competition is not resting: X, under the leadership of Elon Musk, has also launched its own feed for vertical videos in the US. Meta is participating with the announcement of their new video editing app “Edits,” which positions itself as a direct competitor to CapCut.
