By simplifying simulations, the service accelerates innovation in various fields such as drug development, genomics research, and weather applications. Over the years, AWS has distinguished itself through various innovations, including AWS ParallelCluster and AWS Batch. The new AWS Parallel Computing Service extends this portfolio and significantly reduces operational overhead through regular updates and minimal maintenance requirements. This enables developers and software providers to build end-to-end HPC solutions without having to worry about the infrastructure. Early customers and partners, such as Marvel Fusion, Maxar, RONIN, and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), are already utilizing the new service. Marvel Fusion, a German startup focused on emissions-free energy, particularly appreciates the easy scalability and high availability features. Maxar Intelligence sees great potential for improved cluster transparency and resilience, while RONIN emphasizes how much the service supports the democratization of HPC in the cloud. NREL welcomes the automation and visibility features, which could drastically increase research efficiency.
