In the prestigious Management Top 250 ranking by the Drucker Institute, Apple has taken the crown as America's best-managed company, ending Microsoft's four-year leadership in this prestigious list. This marks a remarkable turning point, as the tech company from Cupertino secured the top position through outstanding innovation and financial performance. The innovative push was mainly fueled by the introduction of the iPhone 16, which integrates the new Apple Intelligence AI software.
Microsoft, now slipped to third place, also had to acknowledge the rapid ascent of Nvidia, a fast-growing chip manufacturer that secured second place. Nvidia recorded a remarkable increase in value this year due to the rising demand for AI chips, catapulting its market capitalization to over $3.5 trillion.
The top 10 list included, besides the tech giants, four companies from other sectors. Mastercard significantly improved its rank, securing the fifth place, while Johnson & Johnson, Procter & Gamble, and Philip Morris International also solidified their positions in the upper regions.
The ranking, developed by the Drucker Institute in collaboration with the Wall Street Journal, evaluates companies according to five key criteria: customer satisfaction, employee engagement and development, innovation, social responsibility, and financial strength. It considered 660 US companies whose stocks are traded on the New York Stock Exchange or Nasdaq.
Despite Apple's impressive achievements, the score for employee engagement and development, at 62.7, is relatively low compared to other top 10 companies, indicating potential for improvement in this area. Modern Financial Markets Data
