The insurance giant Allianz shows generosity toward its shareholders. For the past year, a significantly higher dividend will be distributed, and the prospects for the coming years are also promising. As the company announced on Thursday evening in Munich, the dividend for 2023 is expected to be 13.80 euros per share. That's a hefty 2.40 euros more than the previous year.

This development is part of a new payout policy that Allianz is pursuing effective immediately. Instead of distributing 50 percent of the adjusted net income after minority interests as before, now 60 percent will go to shareholders. But at least as much as in the previous year. This is a clear message to investors that Allianz wants to share its profits with them even more in the future.

But that's not all. Allianz has also launched a new share buyback program. By the end of the year, the company plans to repurchase its own shares for up to one billion euros, which will subsequently be retired. A buyback program amounting to 1.5 billion euros was successfully completed in November. Since 2017, Allianz has spent a total of 12.5 billion euros on repurchasing its own shares.

These measures are a clear signal from CEO Oliver Bäte, who has ensured a profitable Allianz with strict restructuring measures since taking office in 2015. Successfully, as the figures from the past years show. And the executive board is also confident for the future, despite the challenges of the current pandemic situation.

Bäte emphasized that the Alliance continues to aim for attractive returns for its shareholders. The company intends to deploy profits even more efficiently and at the same time continue to invest in growth. A clear signal to all investors looking for stable and profitable investment opportunities.

With this new dividend policy and the share buyback program, Allianz once again demonstrates that it presents itself as a reliable and profitable partner for its shareholders. A positive message for all investors who rely on the strong performance of the insurance giant.
